According to The NPD Group, as of April 2018, about 10 percent of U.S. consumers are now regularly buying groceries online. With the support of major retailers, this figure is expected to grow.
As of October, 2017, A new study from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners estimates that Amazon’s Prime membership program is now in more than 90 million U.S. households, up 38 percent from a year before.
We encourage Personal Chefs to embrace this trend, because even if you do the grocery shopping, your clients will still be ordering at least a part of their groceries online, anyway.
Another small benefit of allowing your clients to order groceries directly, beyond being easier for you, is that they can gain points or rebates from their credit card issuer.
